Privacy Policy for Piko

Who we are

Piko is operated by TAP & SWIPE SAS ("Piko", "we", "us", or "our"), based in France. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the Piko iOS application and its widgets (together, the "App").

Information stored on your device

Piko is designed as a local-first hydration app. The App stores the following information on your device:

Piko does not send hydration records or onboarding health-profile answers to servers operated by TAP & SWIPE SAS.

App and widget sharing

Hydration totals, goals, units, drink preferences, and mascot selection are shared between the Piko app and its WidgetKit extension through an Apple App Group. This sharing occurs on your device so that Piko widgets can display current information and add hydration records.

Local notifications

If you enable reminders, Piko asks iOS for notification permission and schedules repeating local notifications on your device. Piko does not use a remote notification server for hydration reminders. You can disable reminders in Piko or manage notification permission in iOS Settings.

Subscriptions and third-party services

Piko includes Superwall to support subscription and paywall experiences. Superwall may process non-linked purchase history and app or SDK interaction information for those features. Piko does not provide your hydration log, weight, sex, activity, or climate answers to Superwall.

Purchases made through the App Store are processed by Apple under Apple's own privacy terms. TAP & SWIPE SAS does not receive your full payment-card details.

Advertising and tracking

Piko does not sell your hydration information. Piko does not use your hydration information for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Retention and deletion

Hydration history remains on your device until you delete it from Piko's Settings or uninstall the App. Other local preferences generally remain until the App is uninstalled. Information handled by Apple or Superwall is retained according to their respective policies.

Because hydration records and onboarding answers are not stored on TAP & SWIPE SAS servers, we cannot remotely retrieve or delete those local records for you. You can manage them directly in the App.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, privacy law may give you rights relating to personal information, including access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, objection, or withdrawal of consent. You may contact us to exercise any applicable right regarding information that we control.

You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. In France, the supervisory authority is the CNIL.

Children's privacy

Piko is a general-wellness app and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through our own servers.

Security

Piko relies on iOS storage and App Group protections for local information. No system can guarantee absolute security, so you should keep your device and operating system protected and up to date.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Piko changes or legal requirements evolve. We will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, provide notice in the App.
